The Mage class is a Tier 1 class, which is currently a base class you can get in Savage Realms. The Mage is, along with Archmage, regularly seen as the
hardest class to play effectively, due to the nature of spell casting in Minecraft. Without hotkeys, cycling between spells is seen as tedious and
frustrating when in the heat of a battle. The Mage and Archmage can bind spells to certain items, requiring only a switch to the item and a left click to cast
it. This helps make the user a bit more agile when it comes to using the multitude of spells at the Mage's disposal.
Class Note: You can cycle through your spell list by right clicking with
a Wooden Sword.
Class Note: You can bind your spells to an item by holding
the item and typing: "/cast bind <spellname>".
For ex: "/cast bind
blink" if I were holding an apple would allow me to use the apple to cast
blink.
Ability List:
(Note: as the class is ever balanced/tweaked, this may not
be 100% accurate)
•(Spell) Drain Life: When activated, this spell does 2.5 hearts of damage
(not through armor) and heals the caster for 2 hearts.
•12 second cooldown, 12 range. 2 redstone dust cost.
•(Spell) Heal: This spell can heal a target player for 5 hearts.
•10 second cooldown, 20 range. No reagent cost.
•(Spell) Blink: This spell allows the Mage to teleport a moderate distance to
wherever they target.
•20 second cooldown, 25 range. 2 redstone dust
cost.
•Reveal (Active):
-Ability to reveal nearby (20 or so blocks) invisible
players using 10 redstone dust (left click to use - this consumes the dust). 45
second cooldown.
